Area Highlights and Links

Our property is located directly on the shore of Lake Superior. We have a user-friendly cobblestone beach with fire rings. There is a boathouse with puzzles and games for our guests' use.

The town of Grand Marais offers many interesting shops, art galleries and restaurants.

Within a few minutes drive of Anderson's you'll find two golf courses; Superior National in Lutsen and Gunflint Hills on the Gunflint Trail. The Superior Hiking Trail extends all along the north shore of Lake Superior and inland, and has many nearby starting points.

Grand Marais is the jumping off point for the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Several outfitters in the area can set you up for a day of canoeing, cross-country skiing or snowshoeing.

Lutsen Ski Area is just 20 minutes away and is the Midwest's largest downhill ski area.

The North House Folk School in Grand Marais offers a wide assortment of hands-on classes available all year around.

Charter fishing is offered on Lake Superior by appointment, and guided fishing trips are available on inland lakes.

The Arrowhead Center for the Arts has a steady schedule of plays, music and festivals throughout the year.
